No Music No Life

For Andre Jahn, the founder of the music project simplesounds, music is much more than a hobby or a profession—it is essential. No Music, No Life

Music was an integral part of his life from an early age. As a child, he immersed himself in his parents' record collection, shaped by rock and the sounds of past decades. With the age of nine he learned to play piano. Later, the raw energy of rock and punk carried him through his teenage years before hip-hop became the soundtrack of his young adulthood. Eventually, he discovered electronic dance music—and with it, a world of endless possibilities.

The name "simplesounds" is more than just an artist name—it reflects a musical philosophy. From the very beginning of his production journey, he was fascinated by how the smallest changes could have a significant impact on sound and rhythm. This attention to detail and his pursuit of the perfect balance between minimalism and depth continue to define his tracks to this day.

simplesounds stands for minimal, deep, and energetic electronic music. His sound moves between hypnotic grooves, atmospheric soundscapes, and driving rhythms that always invite people to dance. A distinctive hallmark of most of his productions is the use of world percussion instruments, adding an organic depth and a unique touch.

With each new release, simplesounds refines his style further. His goal is to create music that not only works on the dancefloor but also resonates emotionally—tracks that become anchored in both the heart and movement. And the journey has only just begun.
